Kokoni

Sham Shui Po

A short walk from the Sham Shui Po MTR station (exit A2), Kokoni is nestled between the colourful textile shops and narrow streets of a neighborhood that’s become synonymous with coffee aficionados. The unmistakable Japanese minimalist design is noticeable from the street entrance with white concrete walls and wooden panels.

Coffee
4/5

Kokoni has a wide selection of caffeinated beverages, arguably the most famous one being the matcha latte. I tried the cappuccino, which was well balanced and not too milky. If you’re on the adventurous side give the espresso tonic a shot. You can also buy single origin coffee beans, sourced from Colombia, Indonesia, and Mexico.

Space

Kokoni is made up of two sections, outdoor and indoor. The outside sitting area is cozy and perfect for sipping your favourite caffeinated beverage whilst watching the world go by. Once inside the high sealing, exposed concrete and wooden fixtures give you a sense spaciousness and tranquillity. There is a row of bench style seating with small tables attached and a big table at the end. The atmosphere is serene, one can easily spend a couple of hours sipping coffee and reading magazines.
