The Soulroom

Sham Shui Po

What do astrology and gemstones have to do with coffee? At the corner of Ki Lung and Maple street, sits The Soulroom, a coffeeshop that combines both holistically, from senses to soul. Bright and airy, this coffee shop is a refuge from the busy streets of Sham Shui Po.

Coffee
3/5

Although they have a variety of caffeinated beverages, I tried the cappuccino, which had a rather milky taste without the strength of the coffee beans coming through.

Space
4/5

Soulroom’s Chinese translation means “Grass and Wood”, fitting for the greenery filled space. The small entrance takes you to a space with earthy vibes that gives you a sense of tranquility and simplicity in the neighbourhood. The warm bright light shines on the small hexagonal tables and chairs just like sitting under moonlight. Outside there is a small bench, surrounded by green foliage and gems stones to let your mind zen out. On cooler days it’s rather nice sitting outside, sipping coffee - bonus for being a highly instagramable spot.
